There has been a lot of air regarding the new vaccines that have been invented for the COVID-19 disease. We all are well aware of how the past year, that is, 2020, went by. The Coronavirus disease, or the COVID-19 that was declared a pandemic by the WHO, was a monster for the Hospitality Industry. Hospitality or the Travel Industry was one of the worst-hit industries in the entire world. Now that we have the vaccines for the Coronavirus or COVID-19, is it safe, or is it going to be a boon to the Travel Industry? Will people start going on leisure travel? On holiday? On Vacations? Let us see.

We all are well aware that we do not have a complete cure for the COVID-19. We have only the vaccine for this disease right now. What does that mean is, taking the required number of shots of the vaccine does not ensure safety or will not guarantee the cure for the COVID-19. We still have to be in our own precautionary disciplines while we travel, even after the vaccine dose.

The travel industry, one of the worst-hit industries due to the COVID-19 Lockdown, has just started seeing growth. Even before the vaccine's invention was announced, people started going out on Staycations, Weekend Getaways, and short vacations around their own cities and towns while taking all the necessary precautions. But the travel industry, on the whole, includes accommodation part, which is generally the most prevalent form of income from these kinds of short vacations.

Traveling responsibly with precautions

On the larger side, we still have airlines flying at around 50% of their total capacity, online reservation portals receiving just a smaller part of the total number of bookings they did before the pandemic, and much more. So for all these to recover, it certainly takes time. For the entire industry to recover just because a vaccine was invented is not an overnight miracle.

At the same time, we should also be careful enough to not surrender ourselves to the so-called "fatigue" of staying at home and not getting an opportunity to travel in the past few months. Slowly but steadily, we have to wait for things to get normal, for the travel industry to recover. We should also adopt the responsible traveling methods (which include wearing a mask at all times, sanitizing frequently, and so on) to not be spreading, nor will we come in contact with the viral particles.

On the whole, in my opinion, it will not be a miraculous overnight change, but slowly and steadily, the travel industry will definitely rise, and things will get back to normal. At the same time, we should also be careful and responsible while traveling.
